“Diagnosed with ADHD at the age of 6, I simply bounced off the walls and displayed an intensity that many people just could not handle. The solution was pharmaceuticals that doped me up and made life blah….. Until at the age of 19, I found a friend in Cannabis. I had smoked before but I was not ready for the real experience beyond the high. Once I had experienced the peace of mind while at the same time maintaining clarity and awareness my life began to change. For the last 27 years, Cannabis has become an essential pillar in my life that has allowed me to focus, set goals, raise a family, start and run businesses, and maintain peace of mind. After training in horticulture at Olds College my wife and I moved our family to Golden BC to start a Garden Centre in 2007. It was not long after that I started growing weed for myself and friends and family, honing this craft, learning the plant and all the wonderful qualities it has to offer. My dream quickly became about sharing this plant and all its attributes with as many people as possible. This dream became Rocky Mountain Cannabis and now I get to live the Dream….”

“I began working for Tyler in his Garden Centre in 2016 with little to no gardening experience but with a genuine love for plants and the outdoors; working in the greenhouse offered me the chance for both. Over the years Tyler has mentored me in gaining not only an understanding of the biology and physical requirements that plants need but also to the understanding of the production process bringing plants from seed to the finished plant that is ready to sell. With the garden centre being a seasonal business it gave me the time I needed to live the Rocky Mountain Lifestyle we all love out here in Golden. These mountains are our playground and I love to play. Now that Tyler has Rocky Mountain Cannabis in full swing I now have a year round job working with plants and learning all the fantastic variations in cannabis from the way different strains grow and how many different feelings and experiences people get from these strains and how we can directly alter and enhance these feelings and experiences with our grow methods. Cannabis is truly an amazing plant and I am thrilled to be growing something that can make the world a better place.”

“I was always fascinated by the way plants grew. Living in the town of Golden BC my whole life, I didn’t have a nice yard to grow anything let alone trying to keep all the street cats out of my strawberries. I moved beside Tyler about two years ago along with growing my first indoor garden over the winter. I got a job at Tyler’s Greenhouse the following summer. I loved working with flowers, learning the watering schedule, and all the components that go into fertilizer and what plants need to thrive. Once I was 19, Tyler had the facility up and running. I got to see a whole new side of plants and how they like to grow. Not only do I like to watch what we grow but I like to smoke what we grow as well. I never knew what all went into growing cannabis or the variety of feelings it can produce. The fact it gives me a soothing feeling and learning the different Terpines and cannabinoids play a bigger role than it just being a sativa or an indica. I know now that we grow what works best for what kind of high we are looking for and want to share with the world.”
